Favorite Horror Film Featuring A Vehicle, by njdevil

What is your favorite horror film featuring a vehicle as the main character?

We all know and love many motion pictures featuring fast and exotic cars...  How many films feature vehicles that are possessed by some unknown force or driven by a driver that is never seen.

Just to name a few that rate top on my list are:

Duel (1971) — Featuring a Dirty 1955 Peterbilt 281 Oil Tanker

Killdozer (1974) — Featuring a Yellow Caterpillar D9 Bulldozer

Death Race 2000 (1975) — A Corvette, Fiat 850 Spider, 1966 Mustang, Manta & VW Karmann Ghia

The Car (1977) — Featuring a 1971 Black Custom Lincoln Continental Mark III

Christine (1983) — Featuring a 1958 Red Plymouth Fury

Maximum Overdrive (1986) - Featuring the "Happy Toyz" Green Faced Western Star 4800

Trucks (1997) — Many Trucks & a  Yellow Remote Control Tonka Dump Truck

Black Cadillac (2003) — Featuring a 1957 Black Fleetwood Cadillac Limousine

Death Proof (2007) — Featuring a Blue 1971 Chevrolet Nova

Blood Car (2007) — Featuring a Black 1993 Honda Civic Coupé

Fuel up and shift into high gear for some blood thirsty vehicles...  Do you have a favorite or a vehicle that I haven't mentioned?  Love to hear what gets your differential moving.

The time it takes to mail off a dvd and receive a new one depends on where you live in respect to one of the many warehouses Netflix has. I can mail off a dvd Monday morning, and receive a new one in the mail on Wednesday. I live in Central Illinois.....

Re: Has anbody caught episodes of "Blood & Breakfast" on Youtube? Its great!, by liebo1110

Thanks for the thread.  Sounded like an interesting concept so I checked it out. Very entertaining and creepy.  I  hope some network has the good sense to pick up this show.  There's a huge audience out there waiting for something original to finally show up on tv and this looks like a home run.

Classic Nightmere on Elmstreet (one of the films) - How sweet, fresh meat

Dark Knight- Why so serious?

Jaws- We need a bigger boat

Wachmen (This is pretty horrorish though not true horror film but very memerable quotes in my oppinioun)- Roarshaq- Whores and palatichins will look up and yell save us, and I'll whisper no
Dr. Manhatten- Life is an overrated phenomenon
The Comedian- We're societys only protection

I'll think of more horror quotes and get back to you

Has anbody caught episodes of "Blood & Breakfast" on Youtube? Its great!, by mayabeej

So a friend turned me on to these great clips on youtube called "Blood & Breakfast".  Its so fun!  Just the right mix of spookiness, real history and funny camp!  I don't know if this show is on an actual network but if it isn't- it should be!

What are some of your favorite horror movie one-liners or diologs., by taag-paintball

I just thought this would be a fun Topic Thread to start.
I'd think we would all enjoy remembering all those movie defining one-liners and dialog that we remember.
I'm going to start with the two one-liners I have posted in the "best comic horror movie ever" thread.

1) From the movie Ernest Scared Stupid, when Ernest first encountered the Troll:
"I sure hope you're from Keebler"

2) From the movie Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, when a this guy put on a tomato costume and
infiltrates the Killer Tomato camp and stays for dinner:
       "can someone pass the ketchup"

But, this Thread is not limited to just comical dialog. So if you have a memorable one-liner or some dialog you'd like to and please do so.

Re: Remakes are now laughable, by walhallatrash

I don't know, they looked dead to me after all they were decomposing like a rotting corps. Remember when that fat woman died in the bulding, no heary beat or nothing, she came back and chased that one nurse down. As for zombies slow and shuffulling, original zombies, showed up in the novle The Reanimator years befor Daw of the Dead or Night of the Living Dead, ran and sprinted. So I would have to disagree with your statment

Re: Remakes are now laughable, by taag-paintball

I would like to state personally that I greatly enjoyed many times, and I own the DVD, the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.
But it was not a good remake, They should have named it something else, because it was an infection movie not a real zombie movie.
Let me clarify my thoughts on this:

1) In an infection movie you must be infected in some way to be infected. Just like in 28 Days Later.
2) In a zombie movie you can have a hart attack and you will become a zombie.
3) In an infection movie if you die of a hart attack you don't come back as a zombie, you just stay
    dead.
4) In a zombie movie zombies are shuffle and lurch after you.
5) In an infection movie the infected sprint and run after you.

Re: Remakes are now laughable, by kifarured

The only real complaint I have with so many of the recent remakes is the lack of time between them and the originals. That and the need to ramp up the blood, gore and skin. Covering plot holes with fx and nudity works for Cinemax specialties only.
Most fans of the originals approach the coming remakes with a mixture of apprehension and disdain, as well as sharp knives at the ready to shred any deviations from the story that add nothing to the tale. Most director/ producers offer assurances that they respect the original product, but what I've seen so far indicates to me a greater zeal to push audience buttons (see above comment regarding gore and nudity).
So how long should folk wait until they attempt remakes? Maybe a better question is are original thinkers in the horror industry that few and far between?

Yeah, ill stick with ps network to buy/rent films

Re: Net Flix???, by zombiehorror

Not really a catch persay but the $9.00 membership only allows you 1 rental out at a time. Thus making the "Watch as many movies a month as you want", not a very factual statement.  Though given mail delivery times you'd get about 7 maybe 8 movies a month but again that is hardly a catch for $9.00 a month!!  There is no limit to how many movies you download but depending on how many movies you watch you can eat that limited catalog up pretty fast.

Basically I agree with you about remakes. And I have a lot to say about them, but I'll save that for the remake thread. I'll not Hijack this thread.

Horrorchannel??, by walhallatrash

After watching Chiller over 6 months this channel does sound awesome, if it ever comes around. I say, direct tv, get on it. Maybe get a subscription on demand channel type of deal. I'm sick of shit like chiller or sy-fi.

I like remakes, if their done right. If they made a law aginst it i would be heart broken, I am all for taking another idea and making it your own, as long as it's not ripping off the original like the shit feast Friday the 13th remake.

I haven't seen that one but I think I heard, was it about killer monster turkys?? that did look very cheesy, but I shouldn't talk untill i see it.

I love Shaun of the Dead but I'm sticking to Zombieland as the best comic horror

Look in the middle of my photo, thats her, im in the saw costume, my cuz is dressed as a woman, his wife is next to him, and the guy who looks like an 80 ganster, that's her BF now. it was halloween party even though it wasn't halloween. But yeah, when it come's to film what is ones man torcher is another mans pleasure.

Re: IT, by o_o_sweeney

I was talking about remakes with ma mates recently, and i mentioned it could be good if they remade IT. but at the same time a bit anxious to see, as if they don't pull it off and actually do a good job of it it'll be a big let down!
Especially if the makers jus put in loads of Obvious special effects, i'll be very disapointed.

Re: HORROR MOVIES FOR 2010, by taag-paintball

Just watched [REC]2 last night and it was just as good as the first [REC]. I'll give it 3.5 out of 5 skulls.
I loved the way they explained the what really was going on.
It's all in Spanish with English subtitles, I think this, in this instance, adds realism to this movie.
If you have the chance to see this film, do so. Don't wait for the Quarantine ripoff, see that later.
