In a world of amazingly less-than-par sequels, which ranks as the best? I know there are many more notable franchise's that I missed in this poll, but these are the ones that came to mind. Feel free to discuss your favorites!

Prereq: Has to have 2 or more sequels
Also, when doing the poll, dont vote which original is your favorite (I know I tend to do that), but base your vote on which has the best OVERALL sequels :vamp:
(btw, my vote when to the Romero dead series. Not only did each stick to the original story line, but each had its own interesting story that kept me interested in the entire series. It had the suave combination of progression and originality)

Which Horror Franchise has the best sequels?
Evil Dead. I loved all three, something I cannot honestly say about the others.
NOTLD. Dawn and Day may be as influential and important. And obviously entertaining.
Though I loved LOTD it's too early to tell it's staying/lasting power.

The Nightmare series covered the most ground, and was the most creative, so my vote goes to them.
Has to be Romero's DEAD films for my money.
I have to go with Raimi and Evil Dead
The Evil Dead. I love Romero's first two "Dead" films but Army of Darkness was a better third instalment than Day of the Dead.
I picked EVIL DEAD. I enjoyed them the most. 8)
I went with Evil Dead Trilogy as well. As you can see, my signature is on of my favorite lines from Army of Darkness.
But in light of finding out that the soul, childhood raping hollywood a**holes are remaking a trilogy set that was one of my favorites...Omen. This should be on that list. And if it's somewhat sucessful (they get 3 bodies in the theaters), then they will probably make the sequels as well.

Ginger Snaps trilogy (does the prequal count as a sequel?)
If not, Evil Dead.
If not, Evil Dead.
Romero's hands down.
In all seriousness. Each film is about something.
While I do enjoy the Evil Dead films, the first 2 are more or less the same and the 3rd one takes the series in a completely different direction.

Because there is only 3 films altogether the story did not get watered down or TOO stupid!

I would have to agree that while not one of the original options Romero's Dead series is EASILY the best horror franchise.
Romero's Dead flicks. The Evil Dead's come in a close second. The Phantasm movies aren't up there, but they are pretty good too.
NA! The Evil Dead films are much better then the Romero movies!
I love the first 2 Romero flics, espeacially 'Night Of The Living Dead'. But 'Day of the Dead' was a bit weak! and I have been told by a Hollywood script writer that although 'Land of the Dead' is not bad, it is too political and is not scary because of that!

I went with Evil Dead, although the Romero saga is a close second. They are the only two of the bunch that don't have bad installments.
The Evil Dead series, simply because I can watch them over and over again which I can't do with anything other series as a whole(except Subspecies but it isn't as good as The Evil Dead).
I'd like to watch the Subspecies films, but all the rental stores in the area seem to be missing the second one, which hinders things.
I picked Romero's Dead series. Dawn is one of my all time favorite horror sequels.

Same thoughts I have.
I wonder if Bride of Frankenstein needs recognition though. It is considered superior to the original.
