It's sad how fast people have forgetten 'Open Water', a brilliantly terrifying movie. As far as I'm concerned there were two horror masterpieces this year, 'Open Water' and 'Shaun of the Dead'.

HEY! I'm with you! Open Water was a huge success, and was a killer flick that would easily take a bite out of those others. Not sure why there at least wasn't a vote spot for "other"?

-"Pulse"

Jeez.I completly forgot about Open Water. It's a great suspenseful film that ranks along side the Blair witch project.

Shaun was great, Dawn and the Grudge were good. Saw sucked complete ass. Open Water was Ok at best and didn't see the other two.

Shaun it is.

Once again, "Shaun" easily. I am watching it right now with one of the commentaries.

It was head and shoulders above everything else, but in a distant second comes "The Grudge", then "Saw", then "Open Water." Everything else from this year I will most likely forget if possible.

I had to go with Shaun of the Dead. I know it crosses the border of horror and comedy (as was brought up in another thread) but I think it's an awesome movie that stands on its own and pays a loving tribute to zombie films. Especially Romero's.

I'm ashamed to say I've only seen DOTD '04 and Shaun from this lot. Between those two I pick Shaun, for what that's worth.

Technically High Tension will fall under 2005 for the U.S., so out of the remaining movies listed I pick Saw. Saw is in my top ten list of favorite horror movies.

I haven't been able to track down a copy of the Last Horror Movie, but hopefully tomorrow when I go to Best Buy they will have it.

I just picked up Shaun of the Dead tonight (Tuesday - 4th), and I have already watched it twice. I absolutely love it and this is one of only two zombie movies I actually do like.

Dawn of the Dead '04 was GREAT! This was the very first zombie movie I watched and enjoyed.

Although I like/love Shaun and Dawn... Saw still remains my favorite horror of '04.

My vote is for THE LAST HORROR MOVIE.

But as Max is holding a baseball bat to the back of my head, I don't have much of an option.
