Bastard,

Looks like we're going neck-and-neck here. Can you guess which one I chose?

-"The Cryptkeeper"

Thank you very much!!

I'm a bit appalled the ole' "Doctor" films weren't mentioned.

And the Poe/Corman movies are a bit under represented.

No "House of Usher"? C'mon!

I HAD about ten more movies on the poll, but it wouldn't let me post them... I had Phibes, Twice Told Tales, House Of Usher, Pit & The Pendulum, Last Man On Earth, Scream & Scream Again, Tales Of Terror and one or two more... there's limits on the amount you can list... let's make a second poll as well, then, and then run off the winners... I tried to trim it as best I could... sorry.

Had to go with House of Wax

Why wasn't the Fly listed?

I'd vote for Dr. Phibes. The killings based on the biblical plagues, his assistant, the production design of the movie, they were all fantastic. If I had to vote from the list above I'd vote for the Tingler. I saw that one as a kid and it spooked me.

Of the films listed, I went with The Conquerer Worm. Price turns in a really chilling, evil performance in that one, quite different from his usual sardonic, ironic style.

I'll have to agree that The Tingler spooked me as well, for years!

I like pretty much every Price film I've seen, no matter how campy. In the end, I went with House On Haunted Hill. Although I really like his playing of Prince Prospero in Masque of the Red Death.
